A little piece of Japan and some Twiddleybitz

Yesterday I was stuck at home all day so that I could be here for the DELL man- which took 6 hours of waiting - love that! It did mean that I got to do a lot of baking - shortbread, almond biscuits and choc chip cookies- which of course the kids LOVE!! BUT I also managed to do my JAPAN layout for the postcards competition over at scrapboutique...which totally freaked me out to begin with but then I got sorted on a Japanese garden and then I had some fun with a Twiddleybitz gate - OMG- how gorgeous is that!! I painted it in Tim Holtz crackle paint - my newest colour and played with heaps of scraps and cutouts that i had and came up with this....

The idea is that it looks  like they are stepping out through the garden gate!  Cute huh!!

I then got all inspired and  finished off the Twiddleybitz  large easel that I purchased  at the end of last year.  I painted it in Making  Memories buttercup paint and then added an antiquing medium and then  some of my fave  vintage  flowers and pearl rope.  IT now stands on my large  sideboard in the loungeroom - NOICE!!

And I  recently won a  Twiddleybitz  birdcage so I  already have an idea for that too!!!!

My Mum and Dad arrive today for a week so if Im a  bit quiet - Im  out and about with them!!!!
