I am having SO much fun playing with my Twiddleybitz - seriously the stuff is AWESOME. I havent felt very scrappy all week after my migraine so I am loving having the vibe again!!! This layout was for one of the challenges at the Enchanted cybercrop. The outside frame is actually a Twiddleybitz edge which normally holds one of their chippy alphabets....I pulled the alpha off and stored them, filed the edges , painted and finished with a coat of dimensional magic. I then used Prima, Basic grey amd sassafrss lass papers and made min frames of the kids - so they look like they are hanging on a wall.....The stunning ornate bits top and bottom are also Twiddleybtz as is the title. Wicked huh!!!!!
and check out here for what is left of my kits - I am including some bonus items for all orders this week - I want to offload the stock so I can get started on new kits!!!!!!
So the cybercrop is underway at Enchanted and Ive got my "scrappy on" which is rather cool because she mas gone walkabout much of this week with my almighty migraine. My challenge is up over at Enchanted now so pop in and take a look to see the criterion - here is my take on it. Check out the gorgous key - its a Twiddleybitz piece and I have covered it in dimensional pearls so its all gorgeous and sparkly!!
This is a photo I took last school holidays and I just love it - and I am LOVING these gorgeous kids of ours right now - they make me laugh until I cry, they are thoughtful and gorgeous and they got amazing report cards and so lucky me gets to spend the next 2 weeks with them - and we have some COOL stuff planned so stay tuned
Have a great weekend and go and get your "scrappy on" !!!!
I got a heap of fabulous photos printed from our Noosa holiday last week so I HAD to play with this sequence of Joshua being rescued from a tree - Yay for Dad and Dan!!!! I have also used some fabulous Twiddlybitz flourish ferns - I used pineneedles distress ink and then wiped over them with a sponge with teadye to soften the colour. Check out ARTASTIC monthly challenge and the fabulous team at TWIDDLYBITZ
I have been hard hit by a migraine since Sunday - so havent done much of anything. Last night I started some more work on my spunky little nieces birthday gift - she will be one on the 4th July . Once I have done the finishing touches I will post some pics up here before I send it off to her!!
I am SERIOUSLY sad - whilst away having a fabulous family holiday at Noosa - I was waking up at 3 am and having ideas about the Twiddlybitz bits I had sitting and waiting for me at home. I know - SAD!!!
So here is a couple of the layouts I have done so far......
This layout was made using one of my kits......i think there is only one left - its called Bloom......
I have heat embossed the gorgeous Twiddly frame and the leaves have been glimmer misted.
And this one I did for Kraft it up. I have painted the Twiddlybitz frame in red paint and then used a resist effect and crackle painted over the top. This is Shane and I holding Josh ( who is now 12!!) at my brothers wedding!
Pop over to the Twiddleybitz ning site and say hi - HERE
Okay girls - you know the drill. The kits are $10 each and postage is capped at $5 no matter how many kits you order. Just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know the names of the kits you are after. The kits sell fast and it is always best in best dressed......so ACT FAST!!!
OMG - I am so excited to announce that I am part of the Design Team for Twiddleybitz. They make the most STUNNING Gorgeous amazing chipboard designs - I am absolutely stoked to be a part of such an AWESOME Australian company!!!!!! Do yourself a HUGE favour and check out their site HERE. Come by and say HI!! I was lucky enough to get to meet the owners - Andrew and Nicole and they have given me an amazing stash of Twiddleybitz loveliness to get started with ...now I just have to get home from Noosa and get started!!!!
Naughty girl - I have been eyeing this one of since I put it together - Its called Bloom and its from my July kits which will go up in a week when I get back from our NOOSA holiday!!! The sketch is from Shell over at challengeheaven....
My little Miss on her way to school- she is LOVING it!
Every new month I get a bit excited to check out the new challenges on Challenge Heaven - Shell comes up with fabulous challenges and you can do as many as appeal to you!! I have done a few this month already......here they are
Lucky for me - Chris w has set a shabby challenge over at Uproar2scrapmore - the challenge is to create a shabby challenge with 3 handmade flowers, pearls and bling. I used this pic of my daughter down at Currumbin beach that Sharon took last year. I have scrapped it before but she can have one in her album and Ill have one in mine!! Gorgeous Girls paperie papers..LOVE them.....
So Leanne at Mad about scrappin has just got in a fabulous new order of Dusty Attic chipboard and OMG - Its stunning......I bought quite a few pieces and couldnt resist putting this together Friday afternoon.....
I used a paint, modpodge resist technique to give the outside a shabby chic look and I distressed the blue chipboard and then I added the vintage sign with paint and antique medium. Cute huh!!!!
What a nice start to the day. My neighbour brings over her gorgeous new baby grandson - smelled just like a beautiful new baby should. Whilst I was cuddling and kissing him the postman arrived with my new DT kit from Enchanted scrapbooking...They are trying something new this month with creating packs with different papers and embellies and fabulous bits - with no cardstock- It cuts down the postage and also the price....so here is what arrived....
And of course being the patient person that I am - as soon as I could get back inside I was tearing open the packet and already had ideas brewing - LOL
I have done two step by steps for these layouts so go and check out the forum if you wish to take a look.
here are my layouts
The very gorgeous Wendy and Kylie that I got to spend some time with not long ago - Love both these girls and time just FLEW!!!
and my sweet boy Josh - on the ferry to Stradbroke Island.....
Well our DT is a bit small at the moment so we are looking for a new Enchanted Member to take up our vacant spot….we are also going to make the team a bit bigger so we are actually looking for 2 new members. Do you want some new packs every month? Do you love to scrap, share your pages and inspiration? Can you commit to chatting in our forum and participating in monthly cybercrops and challenges? Then you maybe exactly who we are after.
There are four requirements to apply for a spot in the design team, they all need to be completed by the 20th of June, as we want the DT to start on the 1st of July.
1. Upload 2 of your favourite layouts into the DT Hunt area in the gallery.
2. Create a page using the Page Recipe and upload to the gallery.
3. Upload a “how to” or “handy tip” that you have done from your page recipe layout that you create – in the thread in the forum.
4. Let us know a little bit about yourself and your scrapping in the forum. http://www.enchantedscrapbooking.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1119
We want you to make a page using the ingredients listed below. You must have all of the ingredients on your page, you are welcome to add extra embellishments but no extra paper. You are allowed to do special techniques such as inking, stamping, sanding, misting, masking, paining, doodling etc. You are allowed to trim your papers or cut them into smaller sizes or strips or stripes, but we must be able to tell roughly which papers are which – meaning you must use roughly the same amount of paper as the required size. The papers can be double sided so that you get more different patterns if you – but we will check the papers to make sure that they are double and that you aren’t being sneaking and throwing in extra paper.
Here are your ingredients that you must have;
Paper 1 - 12 inches by 6 inches
Paper 2 – 12 inches by 2 inches
Paper 3 – 6 inches by 6 inches
Paper 4 – 8 inches by 5 inches
Alphas of your choice (as many or little as you like)
2 journaling die cut shapes
3 bits of trim – can be ribbon, ric-rac, twine etc and can be all the same cut into 3 separate bits or 3 different types all together.
1 to 5 chipboard shapes
Embellishments of you choice – bling, glitter, flowers, wheels, stars, clogs, paper cutouts…. Your imagination is your limit.
The motive behind our criteria is simple – we want to get to know you and see your style in your favourite pages and seeing as we are a kit site we want to see what you can do with a limited amount of products…..so that called for a recipe page. As we want our DT members to do a monthly how to or handy hint we want to see how you cope with it. Hope you all get in and apply as we would love to see what you can offer us.
I have been playing with my alcohol inks and having fun with some textured backgrounds - here is my "What Im afraid of " ATCs - I HATE storms - so I made the background, made little flowersoft clouds and handcut some lightning bolts.......what do you think?????
I have put a quick tutorial up on the ning forum for Uproar 2 scrap more so if you want - you can check it out there....
