Wicked kid

This is my son Daniel.  He has always had the shock factor!!!!  Through my pregnancy we were told  it was a girl - the pregnancy was different to the boys and the ultrasound said Girl....he then  came 12 days late and apparently in that time he grew a penis!!!!!  SO we couldnt call this new baby Rachel as planned so we went with Daniel Shane Kamphuis.

 He is a very very appealing child - he is cute, funny , has gorgeous blue eyes that melt his Mums heart........and he can make me SO  mad and so crazy - you would not believe it.  If there is mischief to be found - there is Daniel.  If there is a kid crying for an accidental  bang to the head - theres Daniel.  If there is a kid to  do the wrong thing - theres Daniel!!  SERIOUSLY!!

He promises he doesnt MEAN to get into trouble - it just happens.....and I do believe him!!  Hes not a BAD kid - just not very good at thinking through the consequences of  his behaviours!!!!  At the moment - he is doing all the  boys  daily jobs - emptying the dishwasher and cleaning up after the dog because of his last  indiscretion!!!!  Oh and he also has to vacuum the house.  I know it sounds harsh but its the shool holidays so if I ground him or take away priveleges like playstation and computer - really its just me thats  punished because he drives me crazy being bored!!  So domestic slavery its is!!

But look at the cutie in this layout - how  can you resist those blue eyes,  that cute smile......we love his  sense of humour and his  outlook on life...he is a beautiful kid inside and out!!!

And he is a wicked kid!!!!!

So I dont think I have shown this one - I did this back  at the retreat  in Ashmore in March .  Sarah P  found some random  blue tape in a drawer and challenged me to include it in a layout!!  Like I can resist a challenge - LOL....This is what I came up with

Its the middle of the month which  means that Ness has her  new sketch up ...and this months sketch has been put together by  Eve....

Castaway Bay --

This is another layout I did at the retreat - I  just love it - the colours, the little pics  the  title matches perfectly with the paper.....  cute huh - The  kids  had a BALL this day at Seaworld - sprayed everybody  they could reach!!

Look whose having a birthday....

So our  gorgeous  little girl  turns  6 today!!!!

Six years ago we   had this precious little bundle...

And of course we were in love with her the minute  we set eyes on her!!!!  I was a very sick Mum after she was born  but she was just the perfect baby!!! 


And in no time at all she turned one....

She had a huge big party to celebrate!!  Or at least her parents  did!!!

And a year later  she was a Queenslander and all she could do was  tell  she was TWO and hold two fingers  up!!!!

She  then turned three.....

and she LOVED  her crawling baby that Pa gave her!!!!

For her fourth birthday she got to celebrate it at Tangalooma with  all four grandparents!!

I just remember  her saying" I just cant believe Im four  " - along with the above  expression on her face!!

So this  time last year she was at Noosa for the June long weekend - we all got up  at 4 in the morning to watch Australia  loose at the World Cup Soccer.....

So Happy 6th Birthday to our beautiful  daughter!!!  Thankyou  for giving us  such  joy and  love and laughter!!  You definitely complete our  family.....

Those of you who know  me  know that  I am madly in love with my beautiful husband - we have  been  together for over 21 years and are as in love  as we ever have been.  He makes me laugh like no-one else,  he is kind  thoughtful, generous and clever!!  He is an AMAZING  father and  he is going to be one  FABULOUS  Doctore...so I love  having a good photo of him to scrap....and teamed up with Twiddleybitz - this  is pefect ....

This was a  challenge at Krissys retreat - to scrap a alyout of yourself in  the Wicked Princesses colours - hate photos of myself- ( dont we all?)  .  So this was the perfect photo - me fuzzy and camera in focus....

Scrap with V June 1st sketch...

Ness has another fabulous sketch up this month - you should have a go - she  offers awesome prizes  and  this months  sketch is a beauty......

When the rest of the crowd goes home.....

I LOVE  vintage music paper and I have a  fabulous  collection and when I saw the title of this song - I couldnt resist - "When the rest of the crowd goes home..."  so of course I was inspired to scrap a layout of Miss Donna and I after we had   stayed up all night scrapping at a  retreat a few years ago!

I could have used the photo of us drinking bourbon at  5 in the morning but I went with this one instead !!

I did this  layout of my Mum as a little girl  when I was at the retreat  but I  havent got a good title?
Seriously  sometimes  this is the hardest part for me - what to call it!!!
If you have a good suggestion - leave it here as a comment and if I see one I can use - Ill send you a little gift!!

I had another layout to show you but it got picked up by Scrapbooking Memories  so now I have had to delete the post!!  Im a bit hopeless - I can never  remember  whats coming up and whats  being published so its always a nice surprise to see them  unexpectedly!!

So I have had these papers for ages so I just  started playing and cutting and sticking stuff together with no idea of what photo I was going to use.....and then I remembered these old photo booth pics from about  20 years ago!!!  and I  grabbed the cut out hand and it worked perfectly - what do you think??

Strike a pose

My  young male Daniel is a character to say the least.  He went to a party  last Sunday  night - a disco - a girls party and the Mum told me - he was the hit of the party - she loved him.  He  got into all the games ad  scored a TROVE of treasures and not One but FOUR  lolly  bags!!  OMG!!  If you know Daniel - that wont surprise you!!

Anyway  - here he is striking a pose ?    Im not sure what - maybe he is just missing his bow and arrow?

One of the  gifts we received from the retreat was a  kit - I received a vintage kit and some of the pieces on this layout were from that - the  cardstock and the Heidi swapp fleur de lys sticker which I cut in half....my daughter on the SLIDE

I also  got these  Websters  papers so I did a layout of my Dad when he was a bubba!!  Cute wasnt he!!

I love that  they must have  kept the proof  - it has the photographers name across the pic -
