Halloween Fun

I know its early  for Halloween - or late in my case!!  Our street  do this awesome   street Halloween  thing - all the kids dress up and trick or treat - its fabulous and grows  every year.  I know its  not strictly Aussie - but who can  resist  dressups and  lollies for goodness sake!!!
  The fabulous  challenge site  Challenge Heaven  have their new May  challenges up already and  one of them took my fancy  STRAIGHT away - the colours wer  black  grey and orange - SCREAMS  Halloween if you ask me so I dug out  lots of  my Halloween bits that I have accumulated - painted a  pumpkin,  made a mini book,  pulled  out some feathers  and grabbed some bats  and  VOILA  !!!!

So on that  FRIGHTENING  note - have a GREAT weekend .  I am out tonight with some friends to see some  more friends in a play - Showboat  and  more fun tomorrow  and  lots of kids sports  too!!!

From screen to scrap

The  new  challenge for From screen to scrap is  Fried Green Tomatoes - I loved the movie  and  I knew  straight away  who I wanted to scrap - my dear  sweet nan Flo- who died just after Joshuas  first  birthday - a truly  beautiful woman  inside and out - Loved her and  miss her!   This layout is  dedicated to her!!

I am loving  Scrap Boutiques postcards  competition at the moment.....Postcards from around the world.   Last week the inspiration was Italy and I had photos  from Venice and this week the  inpiration is a gorgeous  shabby chic  collection from the South of France - It sounds like it was made  just for me - LOL
SO I went through my old pics and found this pic of Shane and I  on the  French Riviera - Cannes or Nice - I have  to look   back in my  diary to remember......and I found the beautiful old sheet music   with the dancing couple on it so thought it matched beautifully!!!!

Scrapncraftwitht  have opened the doors  to a new ACTUAL  store!!!  Tan has spent weeks  setting this up and  has loads and loads  of fabulous  products.   Personally  - Ill be looking at gathering a couple of my  girls and going for a road trip!!!!!   WAHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Artastic layout.....

Sometimes I get these challenges  done and sometimes I dont - YAY - this month  I did.  I was inspired by the gorgeous  soft  colours  in the  inspirational painting - the link is over on my sidebar....and this is the house  my Grandparents  built and lived in all their lives.  Thats my Mum and here sister in the  first  photo - leaning on the timber  horse...... 

I also  got to use some  fabulous  new A to Z  scraplets  that Leanne had in store at Mad about scrapping -  fab lamp post which I have  covered in flocking and a  picket  fence  that I has as well - inked  to  perefct  colour  what I wanted.....and a  giant  chippie button which I covered in  vintage  music paper and used as the base for my little  cluster

AND   Last  night Shane and I decided  to grab the kids and go  away for the night

WHY ????


BECAUSE WE CAN   - wahoo-  off the  the  32nd  floor of a  very  flash hotel - ocean views

The mojo was happening....

Last night I just felt  like scrappin - I should have been writing hubbys  birthday card and wrapping presenst but I did these instead!

I actually  did this on Sunday for Mad about scrappins  friday night in - Leanne  gave us a cool sketch...but I  missed the deadline - DEr!!!!!!!

And I also  bought this cool STAR  flourish  from Leanne  again and  couldnt resist using it on this photo of two of my boys - I just love this pic - so wanted the  layout to be  fairly simple

And then yesterday  Leanne and I spent the day chatting and  looking at her  new products - OMG - YUMMMM .  I may have come home with a couple!!! Anyway one of them is the  cool epoxy  flourish on this page - the paper came from Leanne  too!!

and then I   have been playing with the  gorgeous Fancy Pants Roadshow papers again -  from uproar2scrapmore - I just love them and the flocked  transparency  is  just  stunning!!!

AND  finally  Scrapboutique  are  running  an awesome   competition - Postcards from Around the  world  - and the first  destination is Italy so I thought  what  better  time to finally  start   scrapping our  world  trip  holidy  photos and of  course I did Venice.....loved that place

I AM BACK

Hotmail  finally  got their act together and  fixed my hacked  hotmail  account.  Oh man - what a pain - I hope it doesnt happen  to any of you.  It  took Hotmail FOUR  days to get onto it  because they have  been inundated with the same problem - so be warned!!

SO  the  upside was - I got HEAPS  done - up to date with ATCS , layouts,  DT work and some cards....wahooo-   here is  just a little

So  any of you on my  email list  _ I apologise now.  I have had a hacker break into my email, change my password and  send a  group email to EVERYONE  in my  phone list - telling you that Im in England, Ive been robbed and  have no $$  and require money!!!   Needless to say - I am safe and well in  sunny Gold Coast - and whilst   donations would be  greatly  appreciated - they are not actually  necessary!  LOL

Once upon a time...

Weekend work

Its Monday - last day of the school holidays.....Ive enjoyed these hols - the kids are  awesome ages and lots  of  fun!  Having said that - there is not ONE of them in the  house right now!!  LOL

Mad about scrapping ROLL the DICE

Last night  Leanne  hosted her  Roll the Dice game  and the criterion sent most of us into shock....white cardstock, 5 photos, staples, 4 hearts,  a 6 word  title and chipboard.......Lucky for me - this came  together  reasonably easily.....what do you think?

Our  four gorgeous monsters.  I am now off to take them all to a birthday party for a   3 year old friend!

We are SO proud of this kid......

Its a hard decision  to make - where to send your  kid to  High school - so many  factors and  you really want to try and  get  it  right the first  time.   So  I have  had all  manner of reading material,   done school  visits, Open days and questioned  every  person  with a  high school age  child   anywhere near me.   It all  came down to ONE   school - loved everything about it - I didnt  even have a  close second!!

So  two weeks  before the end of term - Joshua  was lucky  enough to get  an interview - so Shane and I  rocked  up  with him and Joshua was  excellent - he  spoke well,  answered  great and made his parents  very proud.  SO    today  we received notification that  he has  position at the school we wanted.....OMG!!!!!

I am SO   excited - I cant tell you ...here is the  clever  kid......

celebratory dinner  at  the  K  household  tonight!!!!

Easter layout ALREADY!!!!!!

I cant believe it - Ive  already  done some of my Easter photos....Lucky for me - Enchanted Scrapbooking have a monthly   challenge that requires you to  scrap your easter  2010  photos.....so I am  organised and did it.  I have used  2  different  Sassafraa Lass  ranges ( Man I love their  stuff!) and some  doodling ( which I did while watching Brothers and Sisters).
Today I am off to a cool park to meet a girlfriend - Im going to have about  6  kids so wish me luck!! She will have  her  three so  this could be fun!!

Learning to Just BE

I used some of the leftover  papers  from the Graphic  45 class I taught last  night  at Mad about scrappin.  I used them for a challenge over at Challenge heaven - and its a layout of me

PHEW!!!!

So I taught  the Graphic  45  vintage class at Leannes  last night.   All I can say - Is that everyone  who wasnt at the class but  bought a kit - email me if you have any  questions.   Its  trickier  than it  looks...

I had fun as I always  do with those girls -  put together  some  kits for Leanne  for the next  few months  as well - some  gorgeous  stuff coming up!!!
After the class I got to do some scrapping and completed Mad about scrappins  sketch challenge

How funny are the boys  kissing " THEIR GUNS"   .  Man save me in a few years!!

And then I got to  do some  challenges  for challenge heaven.  Shell always  manages to get  excellent  challenges - I  just dotn always get time to do them - but I got TWO  done last night.  One was  just  pure good luck  because the papers I took to Leannes to play with were all autumn  colours.....and the  colour theme  was autumn colours.   YAY   for me....
