Some layouts I had sitting around!!

Finally some time  to  do some  catchup - desk  cleanup,  ATC  finishing,  found some layouts I had  not put away - so here is some show and tell!!!

and this one was a speed scrap  at the Scrap boutique retreat back in Novemebr - we had so much fun !!!

and my  gorgeous Lachlan - he made us so proud this year with his  academic awards - he has one MONSTER  brain!!!!  LOL

and today I have been  finishing off my Bucket List  ATCS -  to be posted off soon.......

and now Im  going to finish off my Steampunk ATCs  - ready for our january  swap......and then I have some class layouts to do!!!

And thats another one done!!

I hope you all had an amazing awesome Christmas - I know I did.  My inlaws  were  up here to share Christmas with us and we loved  having them here - they only have  two more days   with us and it has FLOWN BY!!!  We had some friends and family here for Christmas day and we  had a fine feast - Shane did a spectacular  glazed ham, seafood,  beautiful kebabs and some  yummy salads.  I made a  special  chocolate Yule log and it worked a TREAT!!!  Looked alright and tasted  YUMMY!!
The kids had a ball - even though Santa had a  bit of a stuff up and  left us with two halves of 2 DIFFERENT  table tennis tables .....hmmmmmmmmmmm!!  Luckily  we could  exchange it for the last one we had left!!!!  So of course when the kids are  riding  down the  water  filled drains - they are playing table tennis in the shed with Opa and Nan!!!
and so now for some Christmas photos...

The spunky  kids!!  These guys   make everything about  Christmas  AWESOME - I love  it!!!

I LOVE watching these  two together - they make my heart melt!!!

SO then on Boxing Day we had a lovely  bunch of friends  come over  to eat  some more and  drink cocktails - Margaritas and Mohitis -  TOO YUMMY!!!!

So today we are all exhausted and  need a day of rest and recovery!!!

New Years Eve we have been together  for TWENTY ONE  years and  New Years Day we have been married for 14 years!!!  ANd I love  him more than ever - my very own Doctor!!!!

Shane graduating ( did I mention he got First class honours and the University  Medal and an award for  Aged care and cancer.....NOT TOO SHABBY  for an old bloke!!!!
Josh graduating from year 7, the inlaws  arriving for 3 weeks and my new job have all led to a  VERY  busy  festive season!!!  We  havent stopped =  I also had my gorgeous friends  baby shower in there.....so not much happening on the  SCRAPBOOKING front!!  Ive done a  couple of good scrapstash shops and Ive  started on some DIVINE  Kaiser English rose layouts  but  I really need to pull my  finger out!!

Today I also  received a FABULOUS  amazing  pack of NEW  Twiddleybitz  goodness - I cant wait to get started  - so keep an eye out.
In the meantime  here is the one I did earlier and forgot to upload.....me and my  beautiful brother and sister!!

I love the  colour  scheme  in this and the  Twiddleybitz  fancy  scrolls suit  perfectly!!!

Twiddleybitz Blog HOP

I have a couple of special projects for you today.  The first is very festive being the silly season and all!!  I am a crazy Christmas junkie - I love  everythng about it - the shopping for  gifts for people I love and care about,  the planning  of food for the BIG DAY!!, wrapping the gifts and all the craziness that goes with this season!!  I swear my box of Christmas decorations increases in size  every year!!  So my first  project is a canvas of the kids with one of my favourite  Christmas  photos..and LOADS of Twiddley  goodness. 

and then of course I needed  a stand for it  to sit on so I misted painted and Twiddleybitz neroed  the  goreous  ornate stand ( I have the big one too I love them so  much!) - here is what they look like together

And then just for fun - I  also  created this layout at a retreat I just came back from but it felt like it needed  something  more....so  I  painted  these  bits of Twiddleybitz decorative  scrolls and title and  now Im happy!!  Im  the kid on the right!!!!  With my gorgeous  brother and sister - JUST A FEW YEARS  AGO!!!!!

Just a couple of things...

First of all I want to give a  MASSIVE  great big thanks to all the gorgeous  comments and well wishes, emails and  even a bottle of champagene on Shanes  acheivement!!!  I appreciate  you kind  thoughts  SO much!!!  Many of you have helped ME through the last four years  so my Thanks  go out to those  girls - you know who you are!!!

I did some  scrappping the other day when Shane wa sick and managed to do some challenges for Scrap Boutique...

and this one of my  gorgeous boy Lachlan.  Yesterday we attended  the schools Academic Excellence awards and he received the award for top Science  student  and the Overall  academic  acheivement award for Year  6 !!  So he is now the proud owner of 2 awesome  trophies,  a  framed certificate ad a bursary towards  his  Year 7 schooling!  To say we are proud of him is an understatement - he is the most amazing focussed ( sometimes obsessive!!)  student -  his results are well deserved!!

I have been doing some other stuff but for the moment its secret  squirrel business

Possibly the biggest decision of our lives together!!

Five years ago  we started to discuss the possibility of Shane studying medicine....Little  did we know that this would result in us  packing our  205 boxes, our furniture , our 2 cars, our cat and dog and four  beautiful kids, leaving Melbourne, friends and family and starting a new life on the Gold Coast!  To say that this was a HUGE  undertaking is an understatement.  Now here we are  four years  in to  this program and Shane is at the end of his  MBBS .  On the 13th December - when he graduates I will finally  be able to call him Doctor!!!  I have to learn to say this without laughing at the same time - the whole thing is SO  surreal!!

Today he learnt that he has an overall HIGH DISTINCTION - meaning that he will probably  graduate with Honours!!!  Not bad for a 42 yr old ex bank clerk, ex debt collector, ec orderly, ex nurse!!  Words  dont adequately express how proud I am of him and how in awe I am of  what he has acheived!!!  Anyone who knows me knows I am a bit of a sook for my family ....but tonight  every time I look at this amazing man I have tears in my eyes!!!   He truly  is an extraordinary person and an inspiration for anyone looking at a life change!!

Congratulations fabulous man - I am SO SO SO lucky to have  had you as my life partner!!!  You seriously  ROCK Dr Shane Kamphuis!!!!!

Kraft it up - His day!!!

Here is another layout I managed to do at the retreat -  I did this one for Kraft it up - lots of decorative  punches   cos I love them!!!  I bought a fabulous SWISS CHEESE  one at the retreat!!

When Number  2  son was 2  he had a fetish for  wearing  his Pooh Bear pants on his head?  Go figure??
He did it for ages...in this pic he has  fallen asleep in his carseat with his Buzz Lightyear  outfit on cuddling  Donkey  from SHREK.   I am pleased to say he no longer  weas his pants on his head  BUT he does  still  sleep with Donkey!

Scrap the Boys - KAPOW Its super Googs!!!

I have just come  back from a  fabulous  fun  retreat  at Darlingtob resort near Coffs harbour and so I had some DEDICATED  time to get  some challenges done....here is my take on SCRAP  THE BOYS....My  superhero Daniel......I  went for something different.......

His head is on a  pop  up so his  cute  little head  actually  pops  off the page.....TFL

Late night Scrapping....

I LOVE it - I dont get to do it  too often but everyone was in bed by  9:30 last night so I made the most of it.  Mad about scrappin have their  cybercrop this weekend and the theme is "Going Dotty!!"  so  last night I knocked up these layouts....

I had a kaisercraft  6 x 6 paper pad on my desk - they are  SO  handy - so I used them for this layout of Teleah....you needed to have 5  different circles, bling and handstitching.....

Then I did this one.of my Dad - as a  wee youngster!

This challenge had to have a paint  splatter background....LOVe  doing that!

And then I did one of the monthly challemges - minimal patterned paper and as much cardstock as you like and you had to use a  zipper!!  I did my gorgeous third godson...bailey

Cool Hambly transparency,  some spotted  materail I had and I used Adirondack dimensional pearls to colour the  chipbaord cogs....and of course one of  my  zipper flowers....the red just  makes it pop....

White with 1 - November challenge

I was so excited  when White with 1  returned  - I LOVED  these  challenges...and  this months is a  hard one for me- YELLOW  _ OMG.  Now I know someone who would LOVE  it  but  yellow and  purple would be  2 colours I dont scrap with unless I HAVE  to!!!  In addition you had to  have journalling on the actual  cardstock - not journal boxes  etc...

Here is my take on it

This is my sweet  girl and her Dad - they have  such a  beautiful  relationship - I just love it!!

We call him Jayman

I love the  challenge  site - Challenge heaven - they do  fabulous  challenges  every month. I dont always  manage to  get  them  done but I have made a start with  the Themed challenge for this month - Nicknames...
All of our kids have a nickname and  our  eldest  kiddo is Jayman...this is a layout about his nickname...

It also features  Twiddleybitz chipbaord - for the title  the cool arrow and the bracket!!

They do the most awesome chipboard - you should see some of what I am doing for them at the moment!!!

Scrap with V November sketch....

In one of my last few posts I put up the gorgeous  sketch  by the very clever Kim Kendell over at Scrap with V  and  last night  the  mojo kicked in  and I had some beautiful Graphic  45 papers in front of me so  I did this ....

When my Mum and Dad  came up earlier this year I askd Mum to bring up a heap of old photos - this is one of her as a  young  girl .  I just LOVE  old  photos!!

Il  be back later  with some other   stuff I did last night too!!!

Do you ever scrap for others?

I mainly  scrap for me and the kids albums  but I  do  pages for my  neices and nephews and also  for good friends.  I couldnt  resist  doing this for my friend Leanne  who runs Mad about scrappin....we met  through a  google search for some Heidi swapp chipboard hearts and we  have never looked back!!

I did this for her this  week and Ill give it to her when I see her next!!

I had the photo printed in two different  sizes so I could make one fit the dresser mirror and the larger  one looks like  her looking in the   mirror....beautiful Graphic 45 papers too!

Blah Blah Blah Halloween!!!!

Okay all you Naysayers - If you HATE Halloween and think its too commercial and too American - then look away NOW!!!!!

I never  felt much about Halloween  one way or the other - BUT  when we moved into our street four years ago - they have a Halloween street party  each year and its  grown in popularity  every year!!  My kids  start planning their costumes, we make and  buy   some decorations to spookify the house....and  at the end of the day its about Dressups and lollies - HOW CAN THAT BE BAD!!!!!
The  street all get into it and if you want to join in - you hang a balloon  outside your house and then from  5:00 we get the  spooks and  eeries coming to the door.  Shane stays back and hands out the lollies and I travel around the street  with the kids...Okay I may have a witches hat on and  cackle   every  so often!!

So these are  some of the photos  from last year and  I have  finally  scrapped them -  there are  such AWESOME  Halloween  stuff out there and I have to thank Leanne from Mad about  scrppin  for some of the items on these two pages,......esp  the  cool   embossing folder used on the chippie house!!

So  to those of you  who like to get a  little  CREEPY  - HAPPY HALLOWEEN
