Yes well its inevitable, on Wednesday I clock up another year.....and on Saturday we went shopping and I MAY be getting a new WATCH!!! LOL
With that in mind I decided I should probably make something pretty for it to live in when Im not wearing it!! SO HERE IS the pretty!!
Anyway - I may be working with Leanne to make a class similar to this to teach the Mad about scrappin girls so stay tuned...
I have also started packing for the FABULOUS RETREAT I am going to on Thursday - 23 scrap frenzied women and even more day visitors on Saturday. We have a huge house at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast so I have STARTED packing
Look at this
the problem is that I only live 10 minutes away so its easy to pile up the car with EVERYTHING!!
Wahooooooooo-- I had better make some cracker stuff hey!!!!
I love Lets get shabby - HERE. They are up to challenge 8 which is to include a letter from a loved one. My son Daniel is always leaving Shane and I love notes and special pictures and flowers and the like on our pillows so it was perfect to scrap one of those. He is such a photogenic kid too - I love this pic....
You have to read the letter too- so cute from an 8 year old!!! The frame around the photo is from an old book - cool huh!
Dont forget to follow my blog if you arent already - BLOG prize at the end of the month !!! To celebrate my Blogs first birthday yesterday!!!
For a person as technically inept as I am - its amazing that I even have a blog - let alone managed over 400 posts, 192 followers and 12 months of recorded scrapping and memories.....
To celebrate my blogs birthday today - I want to offer this cool BLOG CANDY!! It includes lots of my favourte vintage bits and pieces and there is loads here - even a Maya Road mini album... So you know the drill.....post on YOUR blog about my BLOG and leave me a comment here with your blog link and at the end of Februay - I will draw a winner.
AND seeing as though I am SO CLOSE to 200- when and if I reach 200 followers before the end of February I will add to this cool little stash!!!! I am happy to post overseas too.....
Okay so the first ATC round is up at scrapping-miniatures and of course the theme is the Number ONE......I wracked my brain and spent ages trying to decide what to do and this morning I hada little brainwave - I have scrapped a little vintage piece with ONE of each of my faves.....paper, sheet music, heart, distress paint, flowers, lace, pearls etc - you get the idea. I only had to make FOUR so I had FUN FUN FUN....
This was my take on the latest From screen to scrap challenge - the challenge picture was Pirates of The Carribean but I didnt have any pirate type photos so I wwent with a popular Pirate saying - ARRRGGGGGGHHH_ My sons and nephew pretending to strangle each other. I love the colour scheme and it suits the pic....
Cute huh!! The link to From screen to scrap is over on my toolbar so check it out!!
This challenge was set by Ness at scrapwithv for the challenge site http://born2create.ning.com/. Instead of the February traditional LOVE stuff - you had to scrap about something you HATE and include the colour red and the word BUT. The thing I HATE most in the world is Storms - thunder and lightning......Im a bit phobic about them really! Anyway - I decided to scrap just that - so my title is "I dont hate much BUT I do hate storms. - using those beautiful Graphic 45 papers that I love so much!!!
So far - this layout is a bit of a favourite of mine....
The photos are of me at Rockhampton - the reatreat I went to last year!!
In January - I got to play with this delicious mini album and great papers from Basic Grey. Its a kit available from enchantedscrapbooking. If you purchase the kit - you get full instructions and pictures to create theis gorgeous keepsake.....Here are a couple of peeks.....
I did this for a challenge at challenge heaven - you had to include the quote - which I loved. The brown flowers hancut from the background are from a vintage book I have here - there are lots of nice bits to cut out....Is that wrong?
I have done some other bits too but they will have to come later cos they are for kits at Mad about scrappin....I am now working on a layout for Out of the hat so will be back after I pick up the squids from school - hope it doesnt rain!!
Oops - here it is and some vintage cuteness that I did over the weekend....
The first is the layout for Out of the Hat - link on my sidebar, then a cute cigar tin and then my new scrappy notes notebook!!!!
